This is a sketch i did for a friend whom I went to art school with and also follows me on
facebook. She picked up the
Collectors Bundle, of Shadows of Oblivion #1 For her cover sketch, she wanted "Something bad ass". So i just started drawing and this is what came out!

Not that that is a bad thing. It's almost impossible to design an armor or mecha that doesn't resemble somehow something that has already been made.
Reminds me of an interview I heard on the Drunk Duck Quackcast with Jilly Foo. She had a contest once for monster designs. I think she wrote them into the story as a prize. (her comic is Demon Eater, so naturally, she needs lots of monsters)
