This is a sketch i did for a fan who follows me on my Facebook page Who picked up the Special Edition, of Shadows of Oblivion #1 For the cover sketch, he wanted me to draw the Enchantress. That Asgardian villain from the Marvel Thor comics

If you'd like a copy of Shadows of Oblivion #1 with a customized, one-of-a-kind, original drawing for the cover, check out the details here: [link]

I'm enchanted with her! (yeah, it's corny, but you had to see it coming)

More seriously, great work!

And where did you find the 80's Thor comics, if I may be so bold to ask?

well.... if you want to throw down $75 you can pick up Walter Simonson's Thor Omnibus. Basically its his thor comics that he wrote and drew (mostly) by himself for almost all of the 80's (83-87ish). Its alot of money for comics, but its also almost 1200 pages of comics... soooo.... I recommend it!

Alas, $75 is a bit steep for me, so I'll have to pass. But, I'll keep it in mind if I ever get a chance to afford it.

it is expensive but you get alot of bang for your buck.

But if you never pick up a copy, its no skin off my back. It's not like i get royalties from it. Just suggesting a great comic made by one of the masters.

True. But, as my car just died, it may be awhile before I mess with trying to get that.

btw, I followed the link to your blog and am enjoying it. On your Tutorial Tuesday [link] entry I thought I'd add one book to your list. Manga For Dummies. It does go into a lot of the whys an wherefores of how you create comic figures. (though there is a lot of minutia too) While it is geared primarily toward producing Manga (duh) it is useful for producing any comic style art. And considering the Japanese teams are fairly small but usually put out a 22 page book every week, I think there is something to learn there.
